BACKGROUND
The REAP program is to cover office and training expenses for rural physicians wishing to upgrade skills in an area of demonstrated community need.
After submitting documentation and application, they have approved 40 days (8 weeks) of training.
The training is to be completed by Dec. 31, 2007. Dr. Figurski has asked to extend the deadline to June 30, 2008 as there will be a paucity of ski/snowboard injuries during the Fall. By having two (seasonal) modules 6 months apart it is hoped there will be a broader range of clinic conditions seen in the practicum.
