i read with interest the back dated acticle on the loose moose down at happy valley. being on the other side of things at big white, an employee of the mountain and the carpenter who installed that moose up there in the first place i was quite concerned about the growing tradition of riding the 'moose'. people actually were helped up there while others were down below cheering them on! can you imagine if that thing had fallen off the wall with someone riding it down on top of others! it was only a matter of time before it was ripped off its mount and came crashing down, which it did. the twenty something year old loose moose did suffer damage to its nose area and sadly will not likely come back to happey valley any time soon. it now resides in a mystery location on the hill, resting peacefully but wary of any aussies celebrating austraila day. too bad.
